Indicops respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users and contributors to do the same. All original content published on Indicops — including articles, photographs, graphics, and videos — is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957 (India) and international copyright conventions.
Reporting Copyright Infringement
If you believe that content published on Indicops infringes your copyright, please submit a written notice to our designated Copyright Agent containing the following information:
- Your identification — Full legal name, address, telephone number, and email address
- Description of the copyrighted work — Identify the work you claim is being infringed, with a URL to the original if available
- Location of infringing content — Provide the specific URL(s) on Indicops where the allegedly infringing material is located
- Good faith statement — A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
- Accuracy statement — A statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf
- Signature — Your physical or electronic signature

Our Response
Upon receipt of a valid takedown notice, Indicops will:
- Acknowledge receipt within 3 business days
- Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing content promptly pending investigation
- Notify the content contributor of the takedown
Counter-Notice
If you believe your content was removed in error, you may submit a counter-notice to dmca@indicops.in containing:
- Your contact information
- Identification of the removed content and its prior location
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the content was removed in error
- Your consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
- Your physical or electronic signature
Fair Use
Indicops may reproduce brief excerpts (up to 50 words) of third-party content for the purposes of news reporting, criticism, commentary, or education under the fair dealing provisions of the Copyright Act, 1957. Such use is always attributed to the original source.
Repeat Infringers
Indicops maintains a policy of terminating accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights in appropriate circumstances.
